On 9th June 2020 at COVID-19 and the Internet as part of LWP June: Coronavirus surge

To understand how the internet is performing with the changes in internet use brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we investigated two key metrics during February and March in some of the countries and states that were hit hardest by the virus. We also explored inequities in Internet connectivity as people around the world shifted to working and schooling from home.

Jana is a Distinguished Engineer at Fastly, working on networking performance, including QUIC, TCP, and congestion control. He was previously a Software Engineer at Google, working on QUIC. Prior to that, he was in academia, where he worked on Internet architecture and various transport projects.
