Designing better web performance visualisations

On 7th July 2015 at The Financial Times as part of Designing Performance Visualisations & HTTP/2 is HERE!

With all of the different measurements we can take of our web performance, the data we report on becomes huge.More and more regularly we are being asked to produce a simple report for a client which shows their web performance in the most simple and evocative way. In this talk Simon will walk through some ideas of what web performance visualisations are, what they represent and who cares about them. This will show that there is a gap in our kit-bag for simple, powerful visualisations which anyone can comprehend at a glance (i.e. no numbers!).We’ll work through some examples (using free / open source tools) and see what works and what doesn’t. You’ll leave with lots of ideas and plenty of questions on how best to show off your performance.
